Discipline is Freedom- Turbomind Poweridea #18

What does it come to mind when you hear the word discipline? Enjoyment, joy, success, and happiness?

If you are like most people probably you associate words like pain, uncomfortable, jail, military, hostage…agree?

The irony is that in real life the word Discipline means freedom, fulfillment, achievement, success and true enjoyment.

Highly successful people tend to be very disciplined, very organized, and hard workers. I personally haven’t met a super achiever who is lazy, sleeps 10 hours a day and just goes with the flow.

Without discipline we tend to lose track and focus very easily. Without Discipline your life tends to go into chaos. It creates the worst jail. More than ever, in this fast moving, highly interruption world, discipline is not an option but a necessity.

Discipline means you do what you say you are going to do when you say you are going to do it, regardless you feel like it or not. That is the definition Brian Tracy gives it and I love it. It means you do what you say you are going to do, period.

Discipline and determination are your biggest assets.

Suggestion on developing discipline:

One of the most important areas of discipline is the discipline to exercise, to move, to do physical activity because it helps you in every other area.

The great thing is after you disciplined yourself to do something, and you make it a habit, you don’t need it anymore, so you only need the discipline to create the habit, which usually takes about 30 days.

Use every opportunity, big or small to do things that are a little hard, a little uncomfortable to train your “discipline muscle

Try to put a schedule and follow it to the minute for some hours.
